Not a bad product...easy to set up and use. No instructions were included, so had to google the item to get the code to input. Just in case, the default is 1111
Stopped working after 8 months - Review written on November 12, 2007

It worked great while it lasted. One day though it stopped working. The blue light came on and stayed on as long as there was charge in it, and I couldn't get anything to connect to it or it to respond to any button presses. My wife and I got free cheapo Jabbra headsets when we bought our phones. I lost mine and got this as a replacement. This died in 8 months. My wife's cheapo Jabbra has lasted over 2 years.
Works great but doesn't last long - Review written on November 09, 2007

I am on my 4th headset (with 2 new ones on standby)
These headsets are more compact than the new styles.
The blue light is VERY bright and kills your night vision while driving.
You should use a single whole punch and punch a piece of electrical tape to cover the blue circle. You can still see a slither or blue light, but now, it's not blinding you at night.
They work great until the die. When the do, it's instantanious. They are cheap enough to find in bulk packaging to keep a few on hand.
Best earpiece I've owned - Review written on November 04, 2007

I have had this earpiece for about 4 years and it still works great. It is the only one that has worked with every bluetooth phone I have owned without static or people having problems hearing me.
Works but can be hard to hear - Review written on September 28, 2007

Since there is no rubber to "gasket" your ear, noisy environments can make it hard to hear. i.e. in you car.
Good enough for the job - Review written on September 24, 2007

My Husband has had several earpieces, and because of his sweating during his job, they fizzle out quickly. This one seems to be holding up a little longer, but has a different sound in the ear than the others. Overall, a decent earpiece.

Lasted 3 months, lucky I have two(charge one, while using the other), the units last only for about 2-3 hours of use, hardly good for all day jobs.

Like the fit though, but These items need to last the day.

This item was shipped and to my knowledge was "as described" in the description, until recently when I looked closer to see a "REFURB W" stamp on the underside of the ear piece. I am well beyond any time frame for returns or exchanges at this point, and am VERY disappointed with Amazon and TigerDirect for not monitoring more closely the products they sell. Selling a refurbished item as new is simply wrong.

I stopped using this item after hearing too many people complained they couldn't hear me well when I used it. I wasn't able to stick with it long enough to know whether it's very durable.

The headset doesn't fit in your ear. So unless you are in a very quite environment, you'll have a hard time hearing anything. It was almost useless in a car. Battery life was normal. One positive, it did seem to pair quickly with my IPAQ h6510, but there was huge delay when answering calls. Overall you could buy a better product for the same amount of money.

When I finally updated my cell phone to one that can use Bluetooth accessories, the first item I got was this headset. I've always trusted the Motorola name (all of my cell phones over the years, and even my in-home phone), so I figured I could trust their headset, too. I was not disappointed. Sound quality is good, nobody has reported trouble hearing me through the headset, and after about 5 minutes you forget you're wearing the thing. The only complaint I have is that battery life seems erratic. I usually can get a few hours of use out of it before needing a recharge, and it does warn you with a tone when the battery is getting low. However, there have been times where I heard no tone at the last use but yet the headset would not power-on without a recharge. Other than that, it's performed flawlessly and I've been very happy with it.

I can hear well (unless there is any outside noice) but people can't hear me on this unit. I now have to buy a competely different unit. There is no way I could use this for business.

The headset is great. The only things I may complain about are, that it doesn't grip tightly to your ear and I wish it was louder. It is suprisingly comforatable and easy to use!

The button that you have to press is a bit difficult sometimes - not exactly a "smooth" type of thing. I suppose if I had a choice I would have spent the extra money for a better model. It's light and the sound quality is fine, but I would say it's only average.
Disconnected from Sony Ericsson far too often - Review written on May 25, 2007

Rating: 3 out of 5

For $7 after Cingular/Amazon rebate, I picked up one of these each for myself and my wife and returned the $60 Jabra headset that I had bought from BestBuy a few weeks earlier. You get what you pay for. The motorola headsets would frequently disconnect from our Sony Ericsson phones for no good reason and were less comfortable to wear than the Jabra. Range and sound were good though, and maybe they work better with other bluetooth phones. Now that my wife managed to lose both of them (good thing they only cost me $14), I'm happy to be back to a Jabra headset (which was free after rebate from a CompUSA promotion). Bottom line, let the price decide which headset to buy, and if you wait and bargain hunt, there's usually a way to score a bluetooth headset for under $20 about once a week.

Okay but not great - Review written on May 13, 2007

Rating: 3 out of 5

This product was okay but not great...reason is it is not very loud...if you are going down the highway, it is hard to hear with the volume all the way up. However for the price of online to retailers is fantastic. Easy to use and lasts for long time...It is very light, but I also feel that it hurts when you put around ear for a long time. Needs to have a comfort adjustment for ears or something...I would recommend for the people who can't spend the extra 10 bucks on the better headset.
Worked ok while it was "alive" but now it's "dead"! - Review written on May 11, 2007

Rating: 2 out of 5

The voice reception with this headset was just ok. Sometimes people on the other side had trouble hearing me sometimes especially when driving. I also get a tingling sensation around my ear and a mild ache in the outer part of my ear everytime I use it. It may be something to do with the design of the head set. Research has never proved any connection between using wireless or bluetooth and the impact on your nerves/brain, and I have to believe them...It's weird though that I get always get a tingling, achy sensation if I use a cell phone continuously for more than an hour but with the bluetooth I get the same sensation in about 20 minutes. So try as I might, I cannot wear it for prolonged periods of time. After I used this headset for about 2 months it just died on me! I used to charge it once every week and never left it on the charger for long periods - only till the blue light went off to show it had finished charging. I did this as other reviewers had warned against over-charging. However, now the headset just died...after 2 months. I called Motorola and they agreed to replace it. It takes about 10-14 days from the time you send it in to get a new one. I'm waiting for the replacement to come back. Who knows how long this one will last!

I suppose this is a pretty good unit. I am still getting used to using a head set rather than just holding the phone. It has good range and sound quality and the buttons work the way they are supposed to.

I love this Bluetooth. Unfortunately, of the three I purchased, one is completely inoperable, one is spotty at best, and the third is being used right now! When it works it's better than most other brands I've tried. I'm working a refund/replacement for the broken one.
This headset doesn't charge well. - Review written on May 06, 2007

There is only one way the charger fits into the headset, so I know that I am not doing it wrong. The light lights up as if it is charging, but sometimes it doesn't actually charge.
They Break too easily.... - Review written on May 05, 2007

Rating: 2 out of 5

I've had 3 of these now. I like them I think the sound is good and the weight is light. They are easy too setup and use. The charger goes in upside down to what you would think and if you put it in wrong you end up breaking the connections and it no longer works. This happened to two of them. The last one just stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried to charge it and it didn't charge! I would try a different headset next time.

Product linked easily to my phone. Has an on off button that is the same as the call/end button, and volume control. Light weight and simple to use. Range seems to be shorter than what the product description said...300 feet is more like 200 and then it gets a bit fuzzy. Overall, a simple and easy to use product.

It did work fine for 2 weeks, now it's no longer working, it can't be paired with any bluetooth phone (no I didn't drop it)... I have called customer service and they where very friendly and offered to send me a new one, i have just sent the damaged one and should receive the replacement soon.
I would love to see more than one button. For instance a different button to turn the device on than the one used to program the device or shut it off. Good sound quality.

Rating: 1 out of 5

After doing research on other blue tooth headsets it appeared that the Motorola HS820 was the one for me. It was light weight and easy to use and program however, when I called people I could hear the other person okay, but they could not hear me at all. Everyone said it sounded like I was really quiet and far away. You had to scream when you were talking! I ended returning the product and buying a different model. I would be hesitant to buy this model again.

I bought the HS820 when I really wanted the HS850. My mistake , so many numbers, so little time. The HS820 works but lacks the features of the HS850.The 850 turns off when you close the mic arm. The mic audio is louder on the 850 also. They both work fine but the edge goes to the 850.
